Alison is a registered dietitian, board-certified in oncology nutrition, and a cancer thriver. Her expertise in oncology nutrition and personal experience with her own cancer diagnosis and its treatment provide her with the unique perspective of being able to relate to her clients on an entirely different level. Her content is consistently focused on evidence-based guidelines and seeks to increase the awareness of the power of nutrition to complement traditional cancer therapies.
I’m passionate about a few things in my life. Two words can help sum up the majority of my passions:
When I was in dietetics school, I started a blog called Heaven Sent Peanut Butter. [Sorry, it no longer exists.] I started it as a way to share my recipes, health information, and a few family updates. As I became a dietitian [RD = Registered Dietitian], HSPB continued to exist, but my approach to nutrition was changing as I further buried my head in nutrition books and research. Enter Wholesome LLC and this blog as a way to continue to share my recipes with a plant-based focus, plant-based nutrition research and health topics, and now my adventures as a mother & dietitian raising and feeding a [now] toddler with plants. A place to embrace my two biggest passions in life.
