“I admit I was one of those ‘could never be vegan’ people and the thought of eating ONLY plants was beyond scary. Quite a few members of our family have Type 2 Diabetes and Hypertension, and after 2 months of just adding more plant-based option, Hba1C levels have never looked better. It works!”

“I am a 4 years breast cancer survivor. Alison was, in many ways, key to my survival. She helped me change my life with FOOD, of all things. Who knew that food was medicine? Well, Alison did…and she helped me to a more healthy way of life. I can’t recommend her enough, to everyone. PS - I am 74 years old and stubborn. If I can change, so can you. She helps you with baby steps!”

“As a young cancer survivor, I knew I needed to make changes to my diet but was overwhelmed with what to prioritize and what changes needed to happen first. Alison was fun and easy to work alongside as I changed my diet and ultimately lifestyle. I’ve never had a better relationship with food in my life.”

“After an unexpected and worrisome diagnosis in May of 2020, I was given a prescription for a medication known to cause weight gain and told, ‘eat healthy, and whatever you do, don’t gain weight.’ It felt like building a house with no tools. Joining Alison’s group coaching program provided me with those tools. Not only have I not gained weight, but my BP has normalized and I feel better overall. My doctors are pleased and have encouraged me to keep up what I’m doing.”

After searching on my own for links between nutrition and disease I found myself overwhelmed with the sometimes conflicting information.
Once I determined a whole foods plant based diet was optimal I needed expert guidance to implement it. I did individual counseling with Alison and also took her online classes. It was eye opening to say the least! I gained more knowledge to live my best, healthiest life than from any other health care provider I’ve ever encountered.”

“Within several months of coaching, family members made dramatic changes at later stages in their lives that improved their overall health and well being. Even if you’re just thinking of making changes to improve your health, don’t hesitate to connect with Alison! She is so lovely to talk to and is very supportive while also nudging you to make small changes that make you feel better during the day and sleep better at night. She has really changed our lives and will change yours too!”

Conflicting nutrition information leads to overwhelm — it’s important we declutter fact from fiction. Wholesome abides by an evidence-based nutrition approach, taught by a registered dietitian board certified in oncology nutrition.
We believe in whole person health because a healthy life goes beyond just food. We support our students with a whole body view of health, providing guidance on mental, physical, and lifestyle support of their wellness journey.
We care about our students like they are our own family. We want what’s best for you and we’ll do everything we can to help you live your best, healthiest life. Our advice is always of pure devotion and support of your success.
I’m Alison, a registered dietitian board certified in oncology nutrition. Myself and my family are no stranger to cancer and chronic illness. We too, used to eat a “healthy” version of the Standard American diet, with moderate amounts of animal protein and processed foods.
But after seeing my twin sister struggling with Lupus, my mother receive a breast cancer diagnosis, and myself battling infertility due to PCOS, I began researching the connection between nutrition, cancer and chronic disease. And this is where my whole food journey began.
After tremendous successes with diet changes in our own family, I knew I needed to help more people. Which led me to found Wholesome in 2015.
I truly believe that food is medicine and that it can (and should) be simple. Seeing my clients live happier, healthier lives after transitioning to plant-based fuels my incredible passion to help more people do the same.

YES! We welcome all nutrition fanatics! Alison is incredibly passionate about sharing evidence-based nutrition information and sharing it in a way that is easy to understand for all — those who are just starting out to those who have a great foundation. We often work with other registered dietitians and other health professionals to learn and share nutrition knowledge, including programs such as ours.
If you feel you need more individual attention, you might consider the group or mentorship program. The group program includes group coaching sessions where you will have the opportunity to ask questions specific to you. However, the mentorship program provides the most individual attention. It includes one 60-Minute Discovery Session and five, 30-Minute 1:1 Sessions With Alison. If you feel you need a lot of individual attention, the mentorship program might be best.
Active treatment individuals are more than welcome to join the program and can absolutely benefit! However, lessons and education will be focused on survivorship strategies, rather than active treatment needs related to side effect management (i.e. diarrhea, mouth sores, fatigue, etc.). If you would also like strategies for active treatment, the mentorship program would be your best choice.
Absolutely! Wholesome and our programs are designed for anyone who is looking to adopt a healthy lifestyle focused on plant-forward nutrition to reduce the risk of cancer, its recurrence, and manage chronic disease impact.
Although much of our programs are focused on available research on cancer and nutrition, topics such as insulin resistance, blood sugar management, cholesterol, high blood pressure, and other conditions will be discussed.

This is a very common and understandable question. However, Wholesome LLC does not accept insurance. Why? When a third party is involved, we are unable to deliver a high standard of care for our clients. We believe health insurance is important to medical care, however, insurance companies often do not support prevention and wellness approaches.
We encourage using HSA and FSA because those are set up for preventative and wellness services. We always welcome open and honest conversations about finances to accommodate any budget.
If you believe your insurance company will provide reimbursement for services, consider submitting your claim via Reimbursify. Per request, Wholesome LLC will provide a receipt for you with proper coding should you like to submit it to your insurance. Please note, this is only applicable to the group and mentorship programs.
